Perfect Housing is a leading website for rental apartments in The Netherlands. Business Development Director, Joost Luttge, tells us what the organisation has to offer

What are the main services that Perfect Housing provides its clients?
Perfect Housing focuses mainly on being able to provide the best possible overview of the rental properties available throughout The Netherlands. Having had a strong presence in the housing sector for over a decade, we have accumulated a great amount of knowledge and expertise, and have just recently decided to specialise and focus solely on our portfolio.

To offer the best possible service to our clients, we now optimise our knowledge of the rental market, and present our clients with an elaborate portfolio of available housing. Based on a strong network of brokers and property managers, we are one of the leading websites for rental apartments in the Netherlands.

Perfect Housing lists rental apartments and short-stay serviced apartments, especially in the regions of The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Are more clients or organisations interested in rentals in these regions? Could you elaborate?
Perfect Housing offers rental apartments all throughout the Netherlands, but indeed The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam are the major cities. These cities for their very own qualities attract many expats and businesses looking for rental apartments, and we have been able to help them meet that need.

We specialise in these three cities because they each attract a different clientele but all are equally important. In order to meet the needs of all our clients, over the years we have become experts in housing in each of these cities.

What do your clients look for when it comes to corporate housing for their (international) employees? Do they have a preference between apartments or serviced apartments?
Our clients’ wishes often depend on the length of the stay of their employees and if they come alone or with a family. For a relatively short period of time, up to six months usually, the client usually opts for relocating the employees to serviced apartments. Serviced apartments are widely available and are usually conveniently located near business centres.

If the client’s employees are coming with their family, then more family-friendly areas might be a priority and the stay is usually for a longer period. This is when a ‘normal’ rental apartment becomes the more attractive option. If the client is unsure of what would be most convenient and efficient, we are more than happy to go over the different options and present the client with both types of apartments, after which the client can determine what works best for their employees.

What do you think companies should keep in mind, such as location or the rental service provider, when it comes to corporate housing for their employees?
The most important issues (to consider) for corporate housing are location and serenity. You might think this is an odd combination, but both are very important factors. Corporate housing, whether it is temporary or more long-term, usually is very important for both the employees and the employer and that the apartment is well located. Preferably, the apartments should be close to the workplace and in a nice and representable area.

Moreover, it is crucial for the employees to be able to feel relaxed and at home when they reside in the apartment. Whether they have to continue their work at home or just really need to recharge for the next day, we make sure that every single one of our clients has a place where they can do so.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
We currently work with around 90 companies and provide a continuous service, helping them will all their housing requirements. Whilst working successfully for over a decade, Perfect Housing has now gone through a quite significant transition. Previously, Perfect Housing was a full service housing agency but currently, we have decided to specialise and focus on our rental portfolio. The quality and quantity of our portfolio is undeniable, and we decided to both specialise and branch out simultaneously, which has resulted in the West Housing Services spin-off.
