Nyenrode Business Universiteit is the only private university in the Netherlands. The university offers business education n the fields of general management, accountancy and controlling. The roots of Nyenrode date back to 1946, when captains of industry from leading Dutch corporations as KLM, Shell, Unilever, Philips and Akzo, supported up by the late queen's consort Prince Bernhard, took the initiative of starting an educational institute for young, talented, internationally oriented students, looking to become entrepreneurial managers. The goal was to offer them an intensive business education experience that had no equal. The ‘for business, by business’ ethos continues today. The founding fathers chose the 13th century Nyenrode castle and estate, which is located between 2 rivers, which was built centuries ago to take advantage of the important trade routes on and along the river. Business thinking is therefore not only in every vein, but also in every stone on the estate.

Executive MBA
Nyenrode has a unique MBA program that caters to high performers who want to continue working while getting their MBA degree. Spread over 21 months, Executive MBA students participate in 2-week modules on-campus. There are 6 modules in total, with 4 of them located at Nyenrode’s campus in the Netherlands, 1 in University of Oregon in America and another at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Students can either choose to stay in the campus hotels or can commute from home for those 2 week modules. International MBA
Nyenrode offers the International MBA as one of its core programs. Founded in 1982, it is suitable for those with 3 years of full-time professional work experience or more. It nowadays appeals to an international community of students, attracting candidates from over 20 countries each year and making the Nyenrode network more multicultural than ever before. The program includes 3 international modules, including a European module in Belgium, an Americas module in Oregon and an Asian module that includes a choice between India and China. Master of Science in Management
This a sixteen-month program for those with a bachelor degree. The full-time MSc in Management is targeted at those with less than 3 years of experience and is international in scope. Formed on 3 key principles, including academic excellence and rigor, on-campus living on our 13th century estate and being part of a very active student association called the NCV. Modular Executive MBA in Business & IT
This modular program is for IT managers and leaders who strive for excellent in leverage IT in their businesses. Students follow modules as a single course and are not obligated to finish other courses in the MBA degree. For each successful completed module students receive a certificate. Once all modules are completed, then a MBA degree is granted.
