International Business Development Manager

Key duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing for this business unit, you will be responsible for penetrating selected financial institutions across your assigned Area. You will pro actively take the business to the next level by identifying, qualifying, pursuing and successfully contracting business opportunities. You will be responsible to build and manage a pipeline and continually generate new opportunities, to meet and exceed quotas.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Sell the Evolan Lending offerings
  • Pro actively generating new business in existing accounts
  • Top level strategic and consultative solution selling to selected target accounts
  • Developing high-level customer relationships and assuring that the company is known in the financial institutions community
  • Ownership of local marketing plan and execution thereof
  • Making Sopra Group Evolan Lending and their products known in the Area
  • Build a high quality pipeline for the assigned area.
  • Bid management, contract negotiation and closing
  • Accurate and timely pipeline reporting
  • Mastering specific market, business and product knowledge

Knowledge & experience

Required qualifications are:

  • Commercial bachelor or university education
  • Minimum 8 years proven track record of successfully selling complex business and IT solutions to retail banks
  • Aggressive "hunting" skills with a proven track record at identifying, qualifying, prioritising and closing new business
  • Strong record of success through consistently exceeding sales targets
  • Well acquainted with the internal business processes of retail banks at an international level
  • Extensive network at C-level within the Dutch financial industry
  • Familiar with the requirements for the implementation of retail lending software applications and business re-engineering projects in the financial world
  • Experience developing and maintaining a geographic territory
  • Ability to work independently, being a self starter and entrepreneur
  • Excellent team player
  • Willing to travel
  • Excellent English & Dutch speaking and writing skills and 1 additional leading European language

Desirable qualifications are:

  • A track record of partnering with system integrators
  • Broad knowledge of loans
  • Additional language skills.
