Job profile Senior Business Analyst ICT

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Business Process Support:
    • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of business rules and documentation of business processes as they pertain to the business applications to ensure accuracy, consistency, legal compliance, and data integrity.
  • User Request for Enhancements:
    • Document outstanding issues into summary format for periodic communication to the User Group for prioritisation and subsequently to Steering Committee and Project Sponsors for approval of priorities. Maintain the database of enhancement requests, issues and bugs, recording status, monitoring progress and acquiring user specifications
  • Specifications:
    • Work with the Business staff to produce comprehensive Requirements and detailed specifications for existing and new financial functionality, interfaces, and reports.
    • Analyse enhancement requests, defects and other issues, translating them into professional Specifications
  • Testing:
    • Perform QA Testing.
    • Provide direction & support to the Business Divisions for User Acceptance Testing, Create of Test Cases, Coordinate execution of the Test Plan, End-to-End Integration Testing, define contingency planning for roll-back and final sign off.
  • Implementation:
    • Install software on servers and configure technical components such as IIS and Windows OS settings.
    • Coordinate release process with Business Groups for new and improved applications, communicate detailed descriptions of functionality changes and provide follow up support as required.
  • Production Technical Support:
    • Provide Level II Production Support for Internal users of all Business Applications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Training:
    • Provide worldwide training via online meetings and in person. This will require international travel less than 25% of the time.
  • Analysis:
    • Provide Financial Business Analysis in order to improve the existing systems and for the creation of new solutions.
      Report development / cubes / BI - design and develop reports based on Business Requirements.

Requirements Senior Business Analyst ICT

  • MUST BE fluent in English: both written and spoken.
  • Should have a HBO working & thinking level.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience installing and configuring application software in a Microsoft environment including experience with IIS.
    Proficient in MS SQL (t-SQL).
  • Minimum of 2 year experience with MS SQL server database administration and use of applications running on MS SQL databases.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Data Management including extracting, manipulating, and migrating data between application databases or for reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in technical aspects of 3rd party vendor applications and interfaces.
  • Minimum of 5 years Financial Accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of detailed user experience with Financial software or other Financial Accounting package.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Crystal Reports/Business Objects or other Reporting tool
    MS SSAS . SSRS. SSIS experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience with iCorp, ViewPoint, OCRA, Consolidation software, Clarity software systems would be a definite plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill managing change
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Team Player who is proactive and willing to take on extra responsibilities.
