Associate PR and Communications Manager
Location: The Hague
Salary band Eur 42.000 – 47.000

Great opportunity for an Associate PR and Communications Manager to help build and protect the profile and reputation of the IB brand amongst key stakeholder groups. The key aspects of this role will be media relations, external communications, copywriting and support on the internal communications. The PR and Communications Manager will report to the Senior Communications and Marketing Manager and will be responsible for raising the profile of the brand and communicating the messages both internally and externally.

As part of the Global Communications and Marketing team, you’ll be responsible for key aspects of the communications strategy and implementation. You’ll use all media including digital platforms to broadcast the message, managing PR agencies as appropriate. You will provide an in-house press office function including identifying suitable PR opportunities, securing and managing interviews when appropriate, researching and writing media releases and developing thought leadership pieces. You should also develop and maintain an effective global media database including press packs and contact database.

• Bachelor degree in Communications and /or journalism;
• Experienced PR and / or Communications Manager in an international organization;
• Great communicator, able to decode complex ideas into simple messages to engage all audiences;
• Able to demonstrate broad media understanding and have a strong media network;
• The ability to identify and develop a good story;
• Affinity with marketing;
• In-depth knowledge of digital media, web content and working across social media platforms;
• Calm, and able to work to deadlines;
• Demonstrable crisis/issues management experience;
• Experience within a not for profit sector is desirable;
• Good influencing skills and ability to develop effective working relationships;
• Fluency in English required; French and Spanish a plus.
