Main Responsibilities

Finance and Accounting

• Consolidation of the monthly Group actual results and full year forecast using the Group reporting software (Hyperion Essbase) on a timely basis.
• Preparation of monthly analysis / KPI management reports to support the Group results.
• Consolidation of the annual Group budget in Hyperion Essbase.
• Preparation of the monthly Group return to the mother company, including profit and loss account, balance sheet and supporting balance sheet analysis / reconciliations.
• Preparation of the monthly Scorecard for inclusion in the Board reporting pack. Information requirements being the principal KPIs plus exchange rate analysis and other ad hoc reports.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly full year forecasts and annual phased budget for inclusion in the mother company's consolidation system.
• Liaise with the mother company's Finance in the drafting of the subsidiary's section of the OFR for inclusion in the mother company's published financial statements.
• Support in the ongoing development of the Group consolidation system.
• Ensure that the integrity of the data held in the Hyperion database is maintained.
• Provide support to the Group Chief Accountant on ad hoc projects and other information requests.
• Support the Group Financial Analyst with related matters.

Other Relationships

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with contacts in other subsidiary companies.

Candidate Background

• Background role in head office / commercial environment, with a logistics background an advantage
• Experience of Hyperion Essbase an advantage
• Initial training in Big Four accountancy practice preferred
• Qualified ACA / ACCA
• Up to date knowledge of IFRS
• Educated to university level
