
Manager, CRM, DACH
The Role
Reporting to the DACH Director, you will have overall responsibility for managing a team of three retention marketing specialists. You will be in charge of leading the CRM/retention strategy for the DACH region and will be responsible for the channel’s revenues and profitability. As a key member of the country team, you will partner with acquisition to ensure a holistic approach to customer acquisition and retention, maximizing the life time value and profits of our various customer segments. You will partner with the CRM/Customer Service team to execute retention best practices, while adapting and customizing campaigns, triggers, and other customer touch-points applicable to the DACH segments. You will work closely with the DACH acquisition team, creative, analytics and translation services, as well as the central functions of product, merchandising, site optimization and content strategy. You will collaborate closely with the other retention managers across markets and the central CRM team.
Responsibilities
• Owns all repeat sales for the DACH region, independent of channel (email, online, offline, direct mail et. al.)
• Develop and execute the DACH CRM/retention strategy, campaign planning, set up and optimization. Will be in charge of Transactional emails (Registration / order etc)
• Develops accurate quarterly and annual forecasts for retention channel and repeat sales within DACH region, managing KPIs against targets, while owning and optimizing the retention budget
• Owns segmentation of the local customer base and drive results through target campaigns
• Acts as the voice of the customer within the DACH region, sharing insights and influencing acquisition in segmentation targeting to maximize life time value of customers
• Identifies and owns the optimal opt-in/re-opt-in strategy, email capture/registration process, email frequency to maximize LTV by segment, and opt-out management
• Owns the internal prospect database, and develops marketing campaigns and triggers to maximize prospect conversion
• Ensures quality of campaign set-up by coordinating with the Quality Assurance team to validate that campaigns are functioning correctly
• Prepare all appropriate documentation to manage retention marketing campaigns including: test matrices, projected conversion rates, number of messages to be sent, and revenue
• Ensure that rapid testing and learning are executed within the channel to promote incremental growth and critical breakthroughs
• Partners with all central functions (CRM, Creative Services, Analytice, Translation, Product Marketing, and Customer Service) to ensure maximum customer lifetime value, optimal campaign analysis, branding, and compliance with both the markets’ and Vistaprint’s internal best practices
• Manages a team of three retention marketing specialists.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have a track record in leading CRM/Retention Marketing Campaigns with proven track record and knowledge of the DACH region. The CRM Manager, DACH, will be an influential leader that is very customer focused, a team player that is highly analytic and results driven.
Requirements
• 8-10 years relevant work experience, including at least 5 years managing CRM/retention campaigns
• 3+ years team management experience
• Solid knowledge and understanding of the email channel and other retention vehicles in the DACH region
• Excellent organizational, analytical and project coordination skills. Able to handle a variety of tasks quickly, efficiently, and with a minimum amount of rework
• Proven ability to multi-task and work on multiple complex tasks that come together under one deadline
• Good email-marketing understanding, including how to set up tests and track results
• Excellent interpersonal skills, cooperative and able to work well in a team, but can accomplish tasks and projects independently
• Data driven, results oriented, and with excellent problem solving skills
• Fluent German language skills (both written and verbal) are essential; strong English language skills are also required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or other relevant field required
• Proficient in the use of MS-Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with HTML and SQL a plus
