Production Editor Location: The Hague Salary: 28,000– 35,000 Euros per year, dependent upon experience

The Publishing Services department is responsible for providing a publishing service to the organization, producing curriculum documents for schools, as well as commercial and communications publications, and publications for other departments on request.

As Production Editor, you will work in cross-departmental project teams to undertake and coordinate publishing work on assigned projects. A typical project team could include a production editor, an author and a translation coordinator; a commissioning editor, a designer, and sales and technical representatives may also be involved for some projects. You can expect to undertake editing or production work as the need arises, but you will also work closely with external suppliers and with other IB staff, to facilitate the publishing process.

Main requirements • A degree, or equivalent publishing qualification or experience; • An excellent command of the English language; • Proven editorial and production experience in a publishing environment, to include dealing with external suppliers and working on a variety of print and online publications; • Excellent project management skills, including time management and organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills; • An excellent eye for detail, and the ability to complete work accurately and consistently; • Confidence with a variety of different software packages.
