Recognition and Development Associate (Africa, Europe and Middle East)
Salary: 27,600 – 34,500 Euros gross per year, dependent upon experience

The Development Associate works in the IB team of Regional Development and Recognition in Africa, Europe and Middle East. This IB unit is responsible for all matters related to the process of recognition of IB programmes by state authorities and universities of the countries in the region and for an all-round support of IB schools with regards to the recognition and sustainability of IB programmes in Africa, Europe and Middle East.

Being the focal point for all incoming queries the Development Associate will work with key external stakeholders including higher education institutes, ministries of education and IB regional associations. The post holder will provide support to the Head of Regional Development and the Development team in all aspects of administrative and secretarial work so as to enable the department to function as effectively as possible, even when other team members are out of the office.

• Ability to work at a senior level, showing initiative, readiness to take on responsibility as necessary, an understanding of complex issues and a care for confidentiality;
  
• High level of secretarial, administrative and organizational skills. Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience;
  
• Knowledge of the IB programmes and/or being an IB diploma graduate will be a welcome asset;
  
• Excellent English language skills and preferably a working knowledge of French, Italian or Spanish;
  
• Proficient level of IT skills (especially knowledge of Power Point, Word, Excel and Internet search tools) and proven experience of working with a CRM or equivalent database system;
  
• Good interpersonal skills in a variety of contexts;
  
• Good team player;
  
• Valid residence and work permit for The Netherlands (if required).
