Dutch company Appical wins award with HR ‘Inwerk app’

Appical, a Dutch cloud software company in the field of HR won the 2013 iHR Award last week at a ceremony that took place during the HR Tech Europe conference. The company has developed a mobile platform for employees to work faster.

The jury consisted of experts from various fields of Accel Partners, Deloitte, Oracle, Randstad, SuccessFactors and Tincup & Co. Appical was unanimously elected as the winner due to the apps focus simplicity and impact on the HR community.

Amongst companies from Israel, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and the United States, Appical was the only Dutch company that was nominated for an award.

Inwerk app

Appical is a cloud software company that developed the app on a scalable mobile platform (software as a service) in order to increase employees productivity and make them more creative in their work. The app also allows employees to meet a company and be more involved with the organisation even before their first day at work. With this app Appical will include Philips, Ahold, Seagate and KLM as a customer.

“Winning this award is very special, not only for the Dutch HR software industry in general but particularly for our company. The previous two winners came from America and Asia, " said Appical co-founder Gerwald van den Oetelaar.

HR Tech Europe

HR Tech Europe 2013 is a major European event focussing on the far-reaching developments that software, technology and collaboration tools bring in the way people and organizations work together. The exhibition took place on 24 and 25 October in RAI, Amsterdam.
