For an International company we are looking for an Area Sales Manager. The company is a Silicon Valley power semiconductor company, developing technology-driven products to improve power conversion efficiency, generating clean energy, improving automation and providing advanced products in the transportation, medical and telecom industries. A pioneer in the development of power semiconductors, integrated circuits and RF systems that effectively monitor electrical voltage to produce maximum effect with least expenditure of energy.

Job description
The team in the Netherlands is looking for an Area Sales Manager who will be responsible for the self supporting business territory in the UK, with major customers headquartered in France but with global locations that must be visited. In this role you are fully responsible for the development of your territory as a supporting business unit with its own profit & loss.
As an addition, you will need to coordinate Sales for multiple factories around the world.
Other possible territories are the Benelux, Spain and Portugal.

Important tasks and responsibilities:
- Sales and new business. Proactively generate new business with corporates/high volume companies or agencies.
- Key account management. Develop an intensive relationship with your top 10 accounts, including account planning. This involves forecast, contact moments by phone and on location.

Requirements
- Electrical/ electronics engineering degree will be a plus
- Background in technology is a must
- Experience with semi-conductors will be a big plus
- 10-15 years of experience in area sales management
- Native level French speaker, with excellent English language skills
- A born seller, entrepreneurial.
- Excellent communicator, able to work independently.
- Experienced in generating new business through cold acquisition and maintaining, managing relations with existing customers
- Ambitious, full of energy, eager to learn.
- Ability to take own initiative and want to be responsible for your career growth.
- Fun, energetic personality - willing to make a difference.
- Will be willing to travel.

Working conditions
The salary for this role is based on experience, plus a Bonus scheme.
This is a full time, long term position, with a contract directly with the company.

The role is based in Leiden, the Netherlands.
