The challenge

At Appical we are experiencing substantial global growth and to be able to grow further we’re looking for a commercial partnership manager who will proactively work together with the sales team to secure and active existing partnerships in the EU and beyond. You’re probably asking yourself: “what kind of partnerships?”. We categorized the following partners:

  • Referral Partners
  • Value Added Resellers
  • Managed Service Providers
  • System Integrators

The CPM will help our existing partner ecosystem to generate Partner qualified leads and to build their own pipeline, negotiate and close deals. Perform joint business planning sessions with all key Partners on a quarterly basis (QBRs) and proactively manage the Partners as well as representing them internally with the Client Services team.

In addition to this, the CPM will ensure Partners are properly trained, ensure that new features and services are effectively positioned in existing Partners to drive upsell/additional revenue and ensure that Partners are satisfied with the services they receive, consequently ensuring high renewal rates of Partner clients.

Finally, other duties for this position are to ensure high satisfaction levels of Partners and to organise revenue / lead driven events, in conjunction with Marketing.

Requirements Commercial Partnership Manager

Of course… probably doesn’t exist (but maybe we will be surprised after all), but should be checking most of the following boxes:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Partnership Manager, preferably in (HR) tech;
  • You’ve at least got a finished bachelor degree;
  • We don’t have to tell you that you’re a true networker with a commercial drive;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English (presentation skills included)
  • The ability to build in-dept (partnership) relationships with external & internal stakeholders;
  • Analytical mindset and result-orientation to not only reach but exceed the partnership targets;
  • Excellent negotiation skills and is partner / customer focused;
  • Proven track-record in building a successful partnership ecosystem /revenue stream.
