NuVasive, Inc., a medical device company focused on developing minimally disruptive surgical products and procedures for the spine, is opening an office in Amsterdam.

As part of NuVasive’s strategic expansion throughout the EMEA market, it is opening its European Center of Excellence (COE) office in Amsterdam. The Center will serve as NuVasive’s European commercial headquarters and function as the commercial hub for the European executive leadership and departments across marketing, surgeon education, sales, human resources, legal and other support functions, stated the company's press release.

The International Operations Center in Ireland, which was established in June, will remain the Company’s international operational headquarters.

Paul Kosters, senior vice president of the EMEA branch, said: “The opening of the COE is an important milestone for NuVasive and a key inflection point for our company’s strategy to expand in EMEA. In the past year, we have expanded our footprint to include Spain and Poland.”
