This was according to the report released by OECD earlier this week.

Employment in the OECD region increased by 0.1 percentage point to 65.7% of the workforce compared to the previous quarter. However, employment is still 0.8% lower than in the second quarter of 2008, before the outbreak of the financial crisis.

In the Eurozone, employment rose by 0.1 percentage point to 64%. According to report, Portugal and Greece were the strongest gainers. There was a relatively strong increase in employment in Ireland, Slovakia, Germany and the Netherlands.

Employment among youths aged 15 to 24 years, after three quarters of growth, remained unchanged in the third quarter. Employment also grew faster for men than for women.
