Nijmegen voted as safest student city

Out of the seven biggest students cities in the Netherlands, Nijmegen is considered the safest, whereas Amsterdam is voted the least safe.

This was reported by, who conducted an online survey involving 1,016 students between the ages of 18 – 23. The seven biggest student cities are Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Delft, Leiden, Groningen, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

60% of students in Nijmegen regard their city as (very) safe, followed by Delft (53%), Leiden (52%), Groningen (41%), Utrecht (35%), Rotterdam (22%). Only 14% of Amsterdam-based students feel safe in their city.
