When it’s all about experience, landing your first job seems a dreadful task. However, by following the correct steps, you can boost your chances in being discovered as new talent.

  1. Know what you want!
  2. Create an online profile
Use LinkedIn and upload your CV in job boards. Be careful about consistency, update regularly with new achievements and let your network know about them.
  3. Keep going...
Even when you think this last interview went great or you’re perfect for the position you last applied for, don’t stop. Keep searching and applying, as things might not turn out as expected.
  4. Connect
Let everyone know that you are looking for a job, from your friends to neighbours and professionals. When the word gets out, even if you don’t see immediate results, you can be benefitted in the long term.
  5. Attend events
With most job openings posted online, it’s tempting to sit behind your screen and wait. By attending career and networking events you make new connections and learn more about your sector of interest. It’s often neglected, but personal contact in an age of digital job-searching can lift your chances and your mood.
