The Dutch government wants to create database of women for top positions

The Dutch government would like to create a register of women who qualify for a top positions in a big company.
Minister Jet Bussemaker (Emancipation) together with Hans de Boer, President of VNO-NCW will be responsible for creating te database.

That is a spokeswoman for the minister said Wednesday in response to a message from the NRC. With this register Bussemakerhuis wants to avoid that s Brussels imposes the Netherlands a quota of women who must occupy a leading position.

De Boer and Bussemakerhuis will be talking to the companies directly with request to suggest at least five women who would be perfect for such a high position and therefore should be included in the database. '' Those women are there for sure. I see them around me, '' said Bussemakerhuis in the newspaper.

The database would prove that the claim that such women are not to be found is untrue.
