More skilled workers to be hired from abroad?
Industry experts predict the Dutch job market will have to rely on foreign skilled workers in the future.The Netherlands is predicted to suffer a shortage of 60,000 skilled workers by 2014. Less and less Dutch youngsters opt for technical courses, and many skilled workers retire in the coming years.

Foreign investments in the Netherlands bring in 4,300 jobs
More than 4,300 jobs, 1.47 billion Euros in investment pledges, and 41 international headquarters, especially in the city of Amsterdam. That is the result of the work by the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) in 2011. In total, the NFIA brought 193 foreign investment projects to the Netherlands in 2011.
