Electrical Engineer Job description

Responsibilities

  • Describes electrical plant configuration.
  • Reviews Client's technical documentation and requirements.
  • Maintains project technical files and update Company standards.
  • Controls electrical engineering subcontracted activities & documents.
  • Defines electrical engineering requirements.
  • Reviews Client's technical documentation and requirements.
  • Prepares the technical documentation for electrical material requisition and assist the procurement department in the technical evaluations.
  • Provides technical assistance to commercial activities.
  • Prepares project design criteria for electric system. 
  • Develops electric system plot plans and main cable routings.
  • Performs electric system models & calculations.
  • Issues data sheets and electric equipment specifications.
  • Issues data sheets for electric equipment included in package units.
  • Prepares electric material take-off.
  • Prepares plant protection diagrams.
  • Prepares electrical cable laydown documentation.
  • Develops electric network layout (grounding, lighting, cathodic protection, electric tracing, connection boxes).
  • Prepares interconnecting diagrams.
  • Prepares technical specification for electric systems installation.
  • Prepares electric rooms layout.
  • Prepares input data for the feedback dossier.

Requirements

  • Electrical engineering experience of at least 5 years.
  • BS degree (HTO) or equivalent.
  • When working on jobsite: VCA-VOL.
  • Written/spoken English.
  • Design Supervision qualities.
  • Interaction with others within the department.
  • Initial judgment of output reports.
