Project Manager Job description
Responsibilities
- Ensure the correct management of the project by supervising the execution of the project activities in full accordance with the contractual agreement; 
 - Be the company representative towards the Client representative regarding contract management and its interpretation; 
 - Cooperate with commercial dept. during the contract tendering/negotiation phase 
 - At contract award revise the contract agreement to define the actions to be taken to satisfy the requirements; 
 - Coordinate the project kick off meeting in order to define project schedule, review technical aspects, procurement plans and human resources requirements; 
 - Set up the project team; 
 - Set up the project budget; 
 - Manage the project human resources in order to obtain from them the best performances and develop their skills and competence; 
 - Have a control on the economic-financial status of the project and intervene in case of any discrepancy with the budget; 
 - Ensure the maintenance routines during project execution are appropriate and they guarantee an efficient performance of the activities; 
 - Ensure reporting routines are fulfilled. Specifically economic results of the project shall be forwarded to his/her superiors in due time; 
 - Approve all material requests related to the project; 
 - Ensure all classification society and authorities rules and regulations applicable to the activities are adhered to; 
 - Be safety conscious in all his/her work and behavior; 
 - Ensure Company’s and Client’s HSE and Q/A policies and standards are implemented during the project execution; Actively participate to HSE inspections/audit on the rig site; 
 - Call for / Participate to investigations in case of serious incidents; 
 - Apply and ensure the correct application of prescribed safety standards and regulations; 
 
Requirements
- 10 years + experience in a related field 
 - Proficient with Microsoft Project or similar 
 - Knowledge of oilfield equipment/general rig operations 
 - PMP certification preferred 
 - Engineering degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
