I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a Master’s degree in International
Relations with thesis. I have over six years of professional experience at the International Relations Department of
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, within the EU Grant Projects Unit, where I work as a Senior Grant Project Expert
providing grant consultancy support to diverse stakeholders.
My professional experience includes researching and reporting on European grant programmes, developing project
ideas aligned with funding priorities, and conducting literature reviews to support proposal development, with
hands-on experience across major EU funding schemes such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, EIT, Interreg NEXT MED
and DUT. I have extensive experience in establishing and coordinating both international and national project
consortia, as well as writing project proposals and managing the complete application process in close collaboration
with project partners.
In addition, I manage and coordinate project writing teams and deliver training on EU grant programmes and
proposal writing to newly recruited staff, local NGOs and district municipalities. All project-related documentation,
coordination and reporting activities are conducted in English, and I therefore have a good command of English as a
working language.
