Understanding the local business context and drivers
An introduction of the key aspects of society, politics and business
Historical and geographical backgrounds
The Dutch Mindset; basic beliefs, values and behaviors

16.30 – 17.30 Dealing with the Dutch;
The key success factors and pitfalls of working with Dutch partners, clients or colleagues, focusing on issues and practical cases around:
Organization and hierarchy; Dutch management & decision-making
Communication styles; meetings, negotiations, presentations
Time and planning; agenda’s and agreements
Feed-back on specific business cases and questions of participants

Trainer

Mrs Esther Janssen (Dutch) is managing director of Culture-Inc. and supports international companies and staff in dealing with cross-cultural management and communication challenges.

Esther provides cross-cultural training programs, workshops and organizational support to effectively manage international and local organizations, teams and staff members and to assist them to communicate effectively and work together as an international team.

Since 1990, Esther has actively promoted international trade- and investment
cooperation between governments and business, amongst others between Europe and Asia. She has started her career at the ministries of Economic and Foreign Affairs, has worked in/with many countries and has lived in Beijing and Amsterdam.
