Tuition fees in the Netherlands

International students from all over the world come to study in Holland. Nowadays, with its key position in the new European Union and multinational market, Holland is recognised as an expert in the field of know - how and international studies. The Netherlands is an unique non - English speaking country where 95% of the inhabitants speaks English.This makes communication during your study in Holland comfortable and pleasant. The tuition fees and other expenses for those who came to study in Holland are relatively low compared to other European countries.  Due to its central position, the Netherlands has been described as the Gateway to Europe. In reality , all famous European capitals are within easy reach: Paris and Berlin, Brussels and London are all situated within an hour flight from the Dutch capital - Amsterdam. The Dutch universities are an ideal starting point for study tours and exchanges with other European countries.

Dutch University fees

The annual tuition fees for enrolment on a degree programme or course at a Dutch University start at approximately €1,700 for EU students. The costs of study programmes or courses for non-EU students are on average 14,000 - 18,000 euro a year. Bachelor and Master programmes tuition fees for non EU- students usually are higher than for EU -members. Mostly a study year can cost between 14,000 euro - 22,000 euro ( inclusive all living expenses.)

Students from outside the European Union do not qualify for the national grants from the Dutch authorities. However, the Dutch Ministry of Education offers scholarships to nationals from a wide range of countries under the terms of various cultural agreements and other agreements of co-operation.

The approximate expenses related with study and staying in the Netherlands

According to the Dutch official instances the minimal sum necessary for student's residing in Holland makes, about 800 euros a month.
The presence of this amount (in 12 the multiple size) on the bank account of the candidate is a necessary condition of obtaining of the educational visa.

Many educational institutions require transfer to the account of the entire annual sum necessary for payment of education and residing of the student.
Payments of habitation and living costs are monthly deducted from this amount. Depending on the programmes, their level the duration and service offered, fees of preparatory programmes fluctuate from 900 euro till 4.500 a year.
