Frequently asked questions

If an employee is being bullied at the workplace what procedure should be followed?

If you are being bullied at work by colleagues or your supervisor, it is important to say that you do not accept such behavior. You can talk with a colleague or supervisor you trust. You can also go to a counselor. If this is your company does not, you can go to an occupational health service.

If you notice that a colleague is being bullied you can talk to the offender about such behavior. In this way you support the victim, and bullying often stops when many people make it clear to the perpetrator that his behavior is not appreciated.

For information and advice on bullying, you can also contact the Inspectorate of Social Affairs SZW, or the College of Human Rights. Also, most unions have a legal service whose members can use.
